The major strength of Camp Mountain Chai is the sense of community and camaraderie. My children have so much fun at CMC! They can't wait to go back each year. It is clear that a lot of thought and energy is put into every aspect of the camp experience - Camp Parent, Los Angeles
Camp Mountain Chai embraces a positive spirit, supports a Jewish identity and cultivates independence and confidence - Camp Grandparent, San Diego
CMC is the glue to all the Jewish education and experiences I provide the kids over the year. CMC is what makes them proud to be Jewish - Camp Parent, Phoenix

Our annual Open House is a wonderful opportunity to introduce your future camper to the magic of CMC . The day will be filled with activities, an outdoor barbecue lunch, tours of the property and time to meet some of our counselors and staff. Test your aim at the archery range, see our camp from new heights on the ropes course, and create something special to take home from arts and crafts. Our staff cannot wait to share their love of Camp Mountain Chai with you and your family. Whether you are considering Jewish summer camp for the first time or have been a member of the CMC community in summers past, we look forward to seeing you there!
All are welcome anytime between 12 pm and 4 pm. There is no charge to attend.
It’s all about Connections. Together at Camp Mountain Chai you and your grandchildren (ages 5 to 13) can experience specially-planned programs and activities that will lead to a lifetime of memories.
We’ll do the work – and you’ll have the fun.
In a beautiful setting 7500 ft. in the majestic mountains of San Bernardino National Forest near Big Bear, each family cozies up in their own spacious, rustic cabin (with carpeting, heat and indoor plumbing). Each day of your three-day camp is packed with lush nature walks, sports and crafts activities, memorable campfires and the unique experience of sharing Jewish music, dance and tradition.
Long after camp is over, you’ll be remembering and sharing the joyous and moving experience and the many ways meaningful Jewish content is integrated into daily activity.
Enhance your connection with your grandchildren as you share this rich adventure – and as they deepen their own Jewish identity. Sorry…no parents allowed!
